How does Usercentrics ensure that its software can be legally used to obtain consent?

According to Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR, data processing is lawful if the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation. According to Art. 7 GDPR the controller needs to be able to provide proof of consent to the processing, rendering it a legal obligation. As the CMPs' purpose is among others to document a data subjects consent it is being also used to provide proof of consent, as required by Art. 7 GDPR, and thus to comply with a legal obligation.
