Update on Supported Browsers

The Usercentrics CMP offers support for a wide range of browsers. Due to the technical development of the browsers themselves, it is necessary to revise the support for individual browsers and make adjustments at regular intervals. For this reason, the following changes are made to the browser support for Usercentrics CMP.

What will be changed?

Deprecation of support for Internet Explorer 11 for all products
Deprecation of support for Microsoft Edge below version 77 for all products
General adjusted browser support for upcoming Usercentrics products

When will it be changed?

The above-mentioned changes come into effect Dec 5, 2022

What effects does the change have?

Usercentrics CMP scripts
- The service will not be discontinued immediately for the named browser versions. However, there will no longer be any ongoing support.
Smart Data Protector:
- The service will discontinue immediately for the named browsers. In case you want to keep service for the mentioned browser versions, we will provide a legacy script. However, there will no longer be any ongoing support for the legacy script similar to the Usercentrics CMP scripts.
For all new and upcoming Usercentrics products, only the below-mentioned browser versions will be supported (see here).

What is there to change from my side?

Smart Data Protector: In case you want to keep support for the above-mentioned browsers and not profit from the improved performance, please exchange the Smart Data Protector script with the new legacy script. The full Smart Data Protector documentation can be found here.

For all other customers not using the Smart Data Protector or customers using the Smart Data Protector without focusing on continued support for the deprecated browsers: There is no to do.
