What is happening

As our template database is continuously being updated, we created new templates for service providers that have changed their names or split up their products. At the same time we are removing some duplicated Third Party Technology templates to ensure more clarity. Your current implementation will not be affected, however legal updates on our templates will from now on only be done for the new templates. Outdated Templates are not maintained anymore.

As you are using one or more templates that will be deprecated, we therefore recommend to remove the outdated template from your configuration.

What is the timeline

There is no specific timeline by which you must have exchanged the templates. However, we recommend to exchange the templates as soon as possible so that you can continue using our maintained texts and templates.

Which Third Party Technology Templates need to be replaced?

In each case the new Third Party Technology template can be found in the information field in the APP. The affected Templates will have an Icon next to their name.

Find the full list of deprecated Templates and their replacements under the following link.

Step 1: Remove old Template

If one of your Third Party Technology templates got marked as deprecated, it should be removed from your configuration first.

Now go to your APP under Third Party Technologies, find the Technology that has an Icon next to it and click on Delete.

Step 2: Rerun the Crawler

After you deleted the old Template, you need to run the Crawler again. We will scan your website again and if the Technology is still implemented on your website, it will be detected again and associated with the new Template.

After the Scan is completed, you may find the new Template associated with your configuration.

In the example given on this page, the outdated Template “Google Webfonts” was associated with our configuration. After removing the technology and re-crawling the website, we now see the recent and updated version of “Google Fonts” associated with our configuration.
