What's a Data Processing Service?

Nowadays, data no longer comes only from surveys or manual user input, but is generated every time a user interacts with digital media. The data collected in this way is then initially available as raw data in an incomprehensible, unreadable form and is then processed by so-called Data Processing Services (DPS).

Well-known examples of such services are technologies such as reCAPTCHA, PayPal, YouTube, Facebook, or Google technologies such as Google Ads.

The Usercentrics CMP therefore does not manage cookies and instead makes sure to come in one step earlier to block the first server call in order to comply with data protection regulations. More information on this can be found here: https://usercentrics.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SKB/pages/204177435

Or directly in the Data Processing Services tab without a connection to the scanner results:

Does the adding of a Data Processing Services directly lead to the script being blocked?

No, services added to your configuration require additional adjustments to block them until your users consent. Follow our step-by-step guide to adjust the integrated services directly in the website code or in your tag manager.
