Overview
1. Add all information to the Configuration section
After sign up and login you can start with the configuration.
Please enter the following mandatory details:
Data Controller
App-ID under Domain Settings
We recommend adding the following details as well:
Language Settings
Legal Specification
CMP Settings
Under CMP Settings you can find Cross Domain Consent Sharing, Google Consent Mode and Bot Detection. These are only features for web integration and not relevant for apps.
2. Service Settings
Navigate to Service Settings and add all relevant technologies for your App, as a DPS (Data Processing Service) to your Services (Actions: “Add Service” or “Create Service” to add a Service).
→ Find the technical documentation and Implementation Guide here.
→ Usercentrics provides predefined DPS through a database, you can add them by clicking “Add Service”. If you're missing a specific DPS, you can create your own (customized) DPS with the action “Create Service”. If you prefer to change a DPS partially, you can adjust a predefined DPS by clicking “Customize Predefined Service.”
→ Template ID’s of existing - Data Processing Service
In the Service Settings section you can find the DPS Scanner. This is also only a web feature and not relevant for the app integration.
3. Create Service Categories in Service Settings section
→ The categories Marketing, Functional, and Essential are available by default, but you can add or customize your own categories based on your needs.
→ Assign the Data Processing Services (DPS) to the dedicated categories.
4. Appearance
Configure the Design of your CMP in the Appearance section. Using the Layout tab, you can define the Layer and Buttons to be displayed. Using the Styling tab, you can adjust the Brand Color, and Logo.
In the Layout tab, only "Hide Language switch" and “Show Deny All Button" are relevant for app integration.
In the Styling tab the “Privacy Button” is only relevant for the web integration.
Use our Programmatic Customization API, to create advance banner designs and run-time variants. Using this API unlocks features like A/B Testing & Dark Mode.
5. Content
Define the texts and links for all elements and layers of your CMP in the Content section. You can add links to your legal notice and privacy policy pages.
6. Reports and Analytics
After the launch of your CMP check the Analytics section for detailed reports on a monthly basis. Use the reports to monitor your opt-in rates and for initiation of optimization measurements of your CMP.
7. Preview
The preview function shows how the CMP you configured would look on the website.
