The following step-by-step guide will give you an overview of the first steps in the Usercentrics Admin Interface. The document will guide you through the initial setup of your personal CMP and summarizes the functionalities and configuration options.

Overview

1. Signup and Login to the Usercentrics Admin Interface

→ Log in using your email address and password.

→ Please enter your Settings-ID to the search bar and confirm by pressing Enter.

2. Switch from version 1 to version 2

Switch from version 1 to version 2 via the dropdown in the header menu.

This step is not required if we received your order after January 18th 2021.

3. Add all information to the Configuration section

Please enter the following mandatory details:

  • Data Controller

  • Domain Settings

We recommend adding the following details as well:

  • Language Settings

  • Legal Specification

4. Create Service Categories in Service Settings

→ The categories Marketing, Functional, and Essential is available by default.

Customized Service Categories are available from Business Package

→ Assign the Data Processing Services (DPS) to the dedicated categories.

5. Add all relevant technologies

Add all relevant technologies for your website indicated through the initial Crawl of the DPS Scanner.

  1. The Scripts of all technologies used need to be adjusted in accordance with the Usercentrics implementation guidelines, whether you implemented them directly to your website code, or through a Tag Management System (f.e. Google Tag Manager).

  3. Usercentrics provides predefined DPS through a database, you can add them by clicking “Add Service”.

6. Appearance

Configure the Design of your CMP in the Appearance section. Using the Styling tab, you can adjust the Brand Color. Using the Layout tab, you can define your First and Second Layer to be displayed

 

7. Content

Define the texts and links for the First Layer of your CMP in the Content section.

→ You can link your Imprint and Privacy Policy as well

8. Implementation

Copy the CMP Script Tag from Implementation and implement it to the head section of your website.

9. Reports and Analytics

After the launch of your CMP check the Analytics section for a basic Opt-In Report.
