DPS Version Control
This feature helps customers to stay up to date with legal texts by automatically using the latest version of our Data Processing Services or keep control over legal texts displayed to their customers.
Overview
Version Control
Customers can decide if they want to have their Data Processing Services always up to date with our Database or freeze on a selected version of it. This configuration can be made for every single service independently. Also, Custom Data Processing Services offer this feature.
Value to Customers
Do not worry about updating the legal texts of used technologies, we handle that.
Or keep full control over the information displayed to website users.
Combined with shared Services across multiple Settings-IDs: Update one Service and have the update on all other Setting-IDs
Where to find it in the Admin Interface
Customers can find this feature in the main tab of each Data Processing Service.
Service Settings → Open any service card → General tab, and scroll down to Live Version
Configuration Options
The feature offers two options, stay up to date with us or freeze on the latest version available.
Select “Stay on the current version (x.x.x)“ if the Service Texts should not be updated automatically.
Select “Keep Service automatically updated to the latest version“ if the service should always contain the latest changes. By using this option, the service will be automatically set to the latest version after saving, even it was on a “freeze“ before.
